Surrey Choices launched in August 2014 as a Local Authority Trading Company (LATC) which is wholly owned by Surrey County Council. We work in partnership to provide a range of adult social care services for disabled, autistic and neurodiverse people across  Surrey and its surrounding area. As a LATC Surrey Choices is driven by creating long-term social and economic value with the flexibility to provide services based around peoples’ wants and needs.

As our Managing Director, you will be at the forefront of our mission to make a positive impact on the lives of those we support, empowering them to lead independent lives. Your primary responsibilities will include providing values-driven leadership to foster a positive organisational culture, developing and expanding our business plan to improve opportunities for the people Surrey Choices supports. This will be done through establishing a clear vision for the organisation's future, sets challenging goals and targets, inspire and recognise contributions, and drive continual improvement in performance.

The person

We're looking for an individual with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset who has a proven track record of delivering locally charged services in a focused commercial traded services company building on the strengths and knowledge of our stakeholders, and with an emphasis on strengthening and developing relationships Prior experience working within local government and handling complex governance arrangements will be advantageous. Additionally, the candidate should have an innate ability to forge strong partnerships and alliances to achieve sector-wide outcomes.
